Euthanasia
The decision to have your pet euthanized is the most difficult one you will ever need to make in the lifetime of your pet. It is often accompanied by grief, anxiety and guilt at the thought of saying good-bye to one's companion.
This is a sad part of our job, however providing this service we hope to make that final time a little easier on the pet and their family.
Euthanasia is a responsibility we take seriously and reverently. We are able to compassionately release our patients from their discomfort and offer the owners a chance to say good-bye to their companion at peace in the comfort of their own home. They spend their last moments in the arms of those they love, on their favourite bed, blanket or lap. These final moments together are precious and we do our utmost to make those moments calm and serene.
Our service allows you and your pet to be in private, familiar surroundings and to take the time needed for this emotional process.
After euthanasia, several options are available. We can arrange private or collective cremation for your pet.

Unfortunately, we needed to use Dr Galatonov’s services twice in two months to say goodbye to our dogs. While we were absolutely heartbroken and unsure of what to do, he helped us every step of the way. He was very responsive and made sure to find a time that was most convenient for us (one time even being during a severe winter storm, both times during COVID). He was very professional, kind and caring and made the process as ‘easy’ as it could be during that time. We also appreciated his directness before and after the procedure. We were very pleased with the quality and knowledge of the veterinary services provided! Dr. Serghei was friendly and appreciated our pets. This is a "no-frills" service, unlike at veterinarian clinics where you are pushed to get all the extras. We liked that the visit was similar to what James Harriet would have done, and that our cats were not as stressed as when they have to go for a car ride. The hours are very convenient for our working hours, and the price was competitive. Definitely would recommend!!
